[Garment Processing]
Two purposes of garment processing:
In order to have a correct wearing look:
[Must] Before the style is exported, the selection of models and their poses are unified in the studio.
[Must] Remove the model's shoes before exporting the style.
[Must] Remove all the freezing and fixing needles.
The two main purposes of garment processing:
A: After garments are imported into Mixmatch, they can be worn on the model. After running the simulation, try not to wear any moulds.
B: When the model changes dynamically, the garment can change with the model.
For purposes A:
1. [must] The garments need to match the model's position, model selection (height, circumference, etc.), and model posture in Mixmatch. (the default posture can be modified in the software).
2. [recommend] It is recommended to use the default model, no shoes, APose. With this in mind, the steps for processing clothes in the style3d are:
● Change the model to the default model
● Take off the model's shoes
● Switch to APose
For purposes B: The simulation of the garment wearing can be fluently.
[must] Need to remove all freezing and fixing pins on the garment
[recommend] Because there are multiple items that need to be simulated at the same time in MM, the simulation speed depends on the computer configuration and the complexity of the garment.
(1) Remove freezing
Method 1:
After turning off the display of fabric colors, check for any frozen sections (frozen sections are shown in blue).
Method 2:
(1)Select all pattern pieces, freeze them all and then unfreeze.
(2) 【Remove fixing pins】
Place a new fixing pin, then right-click the mouse to delete all fixing pins.
[Saving the Material File]
Storage method:
Recommended saving method: Hide the model, set to a quick view 2, and save as a new sproj file.
[Accessories handling]
After being bound to the human body, the accessory needs to be placed in the correct position; it can be used normally in the next steps (ensure that its position in 'Mixmatch' is correct and that it adjusts accordingly with the model).
e.g. Earrings:
(1) Download a file from the cloud library.
(2) Use the three-axis movement to drag the mouse to the approximately corresponding position.
(3) Convert smartly into an accessory.
(4) Select the binding method, and decide whether to choose [Automatic symmetry] depending on the kind of accessories.
(5) Set to auto symmetry.
[Saving the Accessory]
(1) Click on the model and select [Edit Avatar]
(2) Select the corresponding accessory and click ‘save’.
(3) Choose the position where the file is stored.
