Cache Section Record in Sequencer(V2.4.0)

发布于:2024-11-21

Function Introduction

In Sequencer, for a recorded cache, you can select a segment and re-record it.

Steps to Operate

  1. On the recorded cache track, right-click and select "Cache Section Record" in the properties to enter the segmented recording mode.

  2. The segmented recording supports three modes: Add, Replace, and Single Frame Simulation.

1. Add Mode

Section Record Mode:

  • Select Add

Start Frame:

  • Set the starting frame, corresponding to the green vertical line in the track.

  • If the original cache does not start from frame 0, subtract the starting frame value accordingly.

Backup Origin Cache:

  • If checked, the original cache will be preserved.

Backup Cache Name:

  • Set the cache name to create a copy of the original cache with the specified name.

Enable the Movie Render Queue to start recording. The new cache recording will begin from the set starting position, keeping the previous cache and clearing the subsequent cache.

2. Replace Mode

Section Record Mode:

  • Select Replace

Start Frame:

  • Set the starting frame, corresponding to the green vertical line in the track.

  • If the original cache does not start from frame 0, subtract the starting frame value accordingly.

End Frame:

  • Set the ending frame.

Backup Origin Cache:

  • If checked, the cache outside the start and end frames will be preserved.

Backup Cache Name:

  • Set the cache name to create a copy of the original cache with the specified name.

Enable the Movie Render Queue to start recording. The new cache recording will begin from the set starting position.

3. Single Frame Simulation

Single frame simulation is used for simulating the initial state at the beginning of the calculation. For instance, when a character enters the scene, you might need a good initial state, which can be achieved by simulating a single frame until the desired state is reached.

Section Record Mode:

  • Select Single Frame

Start Frame:

  • Set the starting frame, corresponding to the green vertical line in the track.

  • If the original cache does not start from frame 0, subtract the starting frame value accordingly.

Enable the Movie Render Queue to start recording. The simulation will begin from the set starting position. You can set the volume axis, wind field, etc., and view the single frame simulation status in the Movie Render Queue window. Closing the window will save the current simulation state. Subsequent cache recordings, when choosing Add or Replace mode, will continue recording based on the single frame simulation result.

Movie Render Queue Window Preview

During single frame simulation, the Movie Render Queue window will first play a segment of the cache before the single frame simulation. Then, the garment will simulate in a single frame pose, but the rendered character animation will continue to play forward (the character used for simulation and rendering is different, with the simulated character being in a single frame static state).
