Operation Instructions:

Add: Click the "Colorway" button on the toolbar to enter the colorway editor. Click the "Add" button to copy the current colorway to create a new colorway. Right-click on the colorway thumbnail to delete and rename the colorway. When you click on a colorway column, the 3D window will switch to display the corresponding colorway garment.

Edit: Click on the asset thumbnail of a colorway column to modify the color and other material properties in the property editor. Modifying non-material properties will affect all colorways.

Update: Click the "Update" button to update the 3D window effect to the colorway thumbnails.

Save: You can click Tool ->3D Snapshot, set the image or animation type, view angle, size, background, etc. on the snapshot window, and check "Save all Colorway" to save it.

The UI icon can be used to identify the type of footage.

The first row of the material is added with color, which allows for the unified processing of the color settings for the column of colorway materials, making it easier for users to manage and edit the color of the colorway style.

There is a linked to adjust colorway button in the material name section, which allows users to set the colors of materials in the same row to match the current colorway style. This makes it easy for users to lock the colors of specific materials that should remain unchanged.

The Show hidden graphic switch in the upper left controls whether to show hidden pattern materials, When the switch is turned off, the displayed pattern types will be consolidated into rows to make it easier for users to identify the different pattern materials used in different colorways.

The top-right corner features a scrollable slider to zoom in and out of the colorway styles. Meet the needs of reviewing colorway styles in different scenarios (check Pantone color number, style comparison, material comparison, etc.).

In the upper right corner, you can switch the viewing mode to image mode/list mode, which can help users focus on comparing the colorway effects of different styles. The list mode is used to compare and adjust the styles of different colorway materials.

Colorway Group Rules

  1. Display Rules

  • Colorway Panel Trigger Condition: At least one fabric in the group must be applied to a pattern piece.

  • Multi-Fabric Application Logic:
If pattern pieces use different fabrics in the group (e.g., P1 uses Fabric 1, P2 uses Fabric 2), all pattern pieces will uniformly apply a random fabric from the group after grouping.

  • To retain independent fabric effects for each pattern piece, manually copy the Colorway Group and set them separately.

2.Material-Fabric Exclusivity

  • If a fabric has multiple materials in different Colorway Groups, existing materials will be invalidated after joining a group, and only the material color corresponding to the current colorway will be applied.

Group Management Rules

Single Application Limit: Only one fabric from the group can be applied to pattern pieces at a time.

Ungrouping and Regrouping:

Select a Colorway Group → right-click Ungroup the Colorway Group to disassemble fabrics

Drag fabrics to other Colorway Groups or right-click Move to for cross-group adjustment.

  • Order Adjustment: Drag Colorway Groups to sort them, or adjust the order of fabrics within a group.

Application Scenarios:

  • Cross-role Collaboration
After modelers complete modeling, designers use Colorway Groups to quickly replace fabric schemes, and modelers finalize via rendering.

  • Same Style with Different Fabrics
For spring shirt designs, preview fabrics with different weights (e.g., cotton, linen) for the same pattern using Colorway Groups.
