Purpose:
With DXF pattern information, generate internal lines from baselines.
Operation Path:
Home ▶ Trace
Operation Instructions:
Press Enter after the baseline is selected to generate an internal line from the selected baseline. You can double-click on the shape made of baselines to select the entire shape.
Right-click and select "Trace as Internal Shape" to generate an internal shape rather than as disconnected line segments. The right-click menu also supports cropping.
Convert to Internal Line/Shape | Convert Selected Base Line to Multiple Internal Lines | Do not keep the original base line.
Convert to Internal Shape | Directly convert selected connected base lines into an internal shape.
Trace as Pattern | Convert selected base lines (either connected or multiple edges forming a shape) into a pattern piece. | Keep the original base line.
Trace as Internal Line/Shape | Generate multiple internal lines from the selected base lines.
Trace as Internal Shape | Generate an internal shape from selected connected base lines.
Convert to Symmetry Axis | Generate dart lines from the selected base lines.
Cut | Cut the pattern piece based on the selected base lines.
CutandSew | Cut the pattern piece based on the selected base lines and apply sewing. |
Note: Only the Trace Contour function allows selecting or deleting base lines; other functions cannot operate on base lines.
Guide lines do not participate in triangulation during simulation and do not affect the simulation results.
Note: Only the Trace function can select/delete baselines. The baseline does not participate in triangulation during the simulation and does not affect the simulation.
“Trace as Pattern” in the right-click menu now supports generating patterns with shapes made of non-consecutive lines. You need to select the internal lines manually, as shown below:
